You can start in all advertised classes. Anyone who has applied for a valid WDSF license may also compete in the international WDSF tournaments of the DSF.
Note: Participation in the World or European Championships requires further admission criteria. Only S-class couples are admitted to an S-class championship, even if the entry via the ESV is also possible as an A-class couple.
These entries will be checked by the DTV office and removed from the system.
Please note the valid information on the tournament page.
You can register as a participant via the registration portal.
Please note the respective published deadlines and check the expiration date of your WDSF Member ID Card before you register.
The entry fees are listed at the end of the tournament pages. These fees must be paid when the entry is completed, otherwise the entry will not be confirmed.
Our general terms and conditions apply to all starters:
You do not need an entry ticket for the day on which you are entered and registered as a starter. Dancing couples and soloists require a valid ticket for the days on which they are not competing. This can be purchased in advance via the advance booking office or on site at the main entrance of the Congress Centrum Bremen.
Your companions (parents, coaches etc.) always need a valid ticket.
Starters of the respective day are treated as spectators. Spectating is possible in all halls. The only exception is the Gala Night on Saturday evening. Separate tickets are required for this event and can be purchased in advance.
Can I start with my partner at the same time and also take part in the solo tournaments alone?
Yes, this is possible for the age groups Juvenile II, Junior I, Junior II and Youth.
What do I need to take part in the solo tournament?
All dancers need a WDSF MIN, German dancers can use a DTV ID card for registration in addition to the WDSF MIN.

General information
This is an international tournament to which A and S couples are admitted. The dance floors and starting fields are usually larger. Initially 12-14 couples start at the same time. These are divided into “heats” = rounds. After the preliminary round, the number of starters is often halved, so that the last 48, 24, 12 and 6 always compete in the final round. With very large starting fields, there are “fixed heats”, i.e. always the same pairs in a round. The rules stipulate this - but only in the first rounds.
Important for new A couples: a maximum of 20 points are recognized for promotion to the S class. A good opportunity to gain experience and perhaps even points.
This is a WDSF tournament in which the 50 best couples in the world are excluded.
The current status of the world rankings applies. This means there are better opportunities for new A-couples and S-couples from the midfield.
You can see where you currently stand as a dancer in the World Ranking here:
World Ranking WDSF
Star couples are couples who are exempt from the preliminary round due to their position in the current ranking list.
The published pairs therefore only start from the 2nd round. The star couples are determined and published on the evening before the respective competition.
As a spectator, you are welcome to purchase tickets via our pre-sale. However, tickets for a spontaneous visit are also available at the box office.
The gala night is excluded from the box office. For this, tickets must be purchased in advance, subject to availability.
